Teamwork overcomes difficulties
On the morning of September 7th, just as I started work, I hadn't had the chance to change into my work clothes when I received a call from Master Zhang Zhiyong, the deputy director of the equipment department: "Mingjun, are you busy? If not, come over to the shot blasting machine. The disassembled parts have been repaired, and you need to help us put them back on with the forklift. The shot blasting machine is urgently needed!" Hearing this, I quickly changed my clothes while responding and hurried over with the forklift.
When I arrived at the shot blasting machine, Masters Zhang Zhiyong, Yan Qinghai, and Li Haidong were already waiting for me. This part was disassembled just before the end of work yesterday, and they had already repaired it. Since the shot blasting machine was urgently needed, we had to quickly install the part. The part weighed about three to four hundred pounds and needed to be lifted with a forklift for installation. However, the forklift lifted it vertically, while this part needed to be installed inside, which required the masters to push the part in manually. The part was heavy, and it was not easy to screw in all eight 16mm connecting bolt holes. Installing it was much more difficult than disassembling it because the bolt holes could only be barely seen, not clearly, and the operating space was limited. During the installation process, the three masters worked closely together, following each other's commands, with some pushing and others screwing. Master Zhang Zhiyong finally managed to screw in the first bolt. With his rich work experience, he chose a long bolt for the first one, allowing for some movement and making it easier to install the other bolts. In the end, they securely fixed the part in place.
Later, I learned from Master Zhang Zhiyong that this part was the barrel of the shot blasting machine, similar to the part of a gun that fires bullets. With the close cooperation of the three masters, this task was successfully completed. At this time, the sun was slowly rising in the east, and the three of them wore bright smiles on their faces, as if every blade of grass and tree in Xinkai had become particularly vibrant.
